Everyday access
Consider opening direction, usable passage and space in the hallway. Discuss who uses the door and how visitors arrive. Letterboxes, intercoms and handles can affect the final arrangement and should be considered before the design is approved.
Security as an assembly
A suitable lock is only one part of a door. Ask how the leaf, frame, hinges, hardware and installation are assessed together. Any stated security classification should be tied to the complete configuration actually being offered.
Details in the quote
Specify both surface finishes, panels, glass, hardware and threshold individually. Discuss connections to the floor and facade and record the finishing work. Ask who handles adjustments after installation and which contact will provide subsequent service.
